Terms of Service

Effective date · 2026년 5월 16일

This English translation is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Korean version prevails.

These Terms are intended to govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between 유어메이트 (hereinafter the "Company") and members in connection with the use of the Daysmate service (hereinafter the "Service") operated by the Company.

1조 (Purpose)

These Terms are intended to govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and members, and other necessary matters, in connection with members' use of the Service provided by the Company.

2조 (Definitions)

  • "Service": the anniversary/event registration and reminder service provided by Daysmate
  • "Member": a person who has registered for the Service through OAuth authentication
  • "Anniversary": information registered by a member, such as a solar/lunar date, whether it repeats annually, and notes
  • "Reminder": an email delivered to a member when a registered anniversary approaches

3조 (Disclosure, Effect, and Amendment of Terms)

The Company posts the content of these Terms on the initial screen of the Service or on a linked screen so that members can easily review them.

The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that they do not violate relevant laws such as the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the Personal Information Protection Act. When amending the Terms, the Company will specify the effective date and the reason for the amendment and announce it starting at least 7 days before the effective date.

4조 (Membership Registration)

Membership registration is completed through an OAuth authentication provider supported by the Company (Google, Apple, Kakao, Naver) or through an email magic link.

The Company may refuse membership registration or later revoke membership in the following cases.

  • Where the applicant has previously lost membership under these Terms
  • Where the applicant registered using a name that is not their real name or using another person's information
  • Where it is otherwise determined that registering the applicant as a member would significantly impair the operation of the Service

5조 (Changes to Member Information)

Members can directly edit their own information, such as display name, time zone, notification email, and whether the lunar calendar is used by default, through the Service's settings screen (/settings).

When the notification email is changed, a separate verification email is sent to the new address, and the change is completed only after the member clicks the verification link.

6조 (Member Obligations)

Members must not engage in any of the following acts.

  • Registering another person's personal information without that person's consent
  • Improperly using information posted on the Service
  • Infringing the rights of the Company or third parties or damaging their reputation
  • Any act that may interfere with the stable operation of the Service

7조 (Provision, Modification, and Suspension of Service)

In principle, the Company provides the Service 24 hours a day, year-round. However, the provision of the Service may be temporarily suspended for reasons announced in advance, such as system maintenance, expansion, or replacement.

This Service is provided free of charge, and the Company may modify or suspend all or part of the Service as necessary for operational or technical reasons.

8조 (Postings and Member Data)

All data registered by a member on the Service, such as anniversary information and notes, is regarded as the member's content, and the Company processes it only within the scope of providing the Service.

Copyright in and responsibility for a member's content belong to the member, and the Company is not responsible for any disputes arising from such content.

9조 (Liability and Disclaimer)

The Company is not liable for any damage incurred by a member in connection with the Service, which is provided free of charge. This does not apply, however, to damage caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

The Company is exempt from liability where it is unable to provide the Service due to force majeure such as natural disasters, war, communication failures, or power outages.

10조 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

Members may request withdrawal at any time from the Service's settings screen. Data is retained for 30 days from the time of the withdrawal request, and members may cancel the withdrawal by signing in again within this period.

After 30 days, the member's information and all data registered by the member are permanently deleted. The Company may revoke membership where a member has seriously violated the obligations under Article 6.

11조 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

In the event of a dispute between the Company and a member in connection with these Terms and the use of the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the member's address shall be the competent court; where there is no address, the Seoul Central District Court shall be the competent court. The interpretation and application of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

12조 (Addendum)

These Terms take effect on 2026년 5월 16일.
